FAQs – Global Marketplace New Zealand Limited (GrabOne)

I would like to request a refund:

Unfortunately, as the company is now in liquidation, we are unable to process refunds. Under section 303 of the Companies Act 1993, individuals who have paid for goods or services not received are considered unsecured creditors of the Company.

As an unsecured creditor, you are entitled to lodge a claim for the amount owed by completing the Unsecured Creditors Claim Form available below. However, we advise that based on the current financial position of the Company, and the debt outstanding to priority creditors, it is unlikely that any funds will be available for distribution to unsecured creditors.

If you have not already done so, we recommend contacting the merchant directly to understand how they will treat your voucher.

Will the goods I ordered still be delivered?

GrabOne operated as a marketplace connecting customers with third-party merchants. As such, the Company did not hold physical stock or manage the shipping/fulfilment of orders. The liquidators do not have access to shipment records, tracking details, or merchant specific delivery information.

For any queries regarding the status of your outstanding delivery, we recommend contacting the merchant directly to understand how they will treat your order.

I am a merchant what does this mean for me?

As the merchant it is at your discretion whether you choose to continue to honour outstanding vouchers. Due to the current financial position of the Company, and the debts outstanding to priority creditors, the liquidators are unable to make any payments in respect of previously redeemed vouchers or vouchers you choose to redeem going forward.

All amounts owed to merchants for vouchers redeemed or goods shipped prior to or during the liquidation period are considered unsecured claims. As an unsecured creditor, you are entitled to lodge a claim for the amount owed by completing the attached Unsecured Creditors Claim below.

We regret to advise that it is unlikely that any funds will be available for distribution to unsecured creditors.

We are working with management to retrieve the voucher and payment information stored in your merchant account. Once this is available to us, we will endeavour to provide it to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work through the large volume of data and requests.

What will happen with my GrabOne credits?

Unfortunately, as the company is now in liquidation, your GrabOne credits are considered a liability of the Company and cannot be refunded or redeemed.

You are entitled to lodge a claim for the value of your unused credits by completing the Unsecured Creditors Claim Form below. However, we advise that based on the current financial position of the Company, and the debts outstanding to priority creditors, it is unlikely that any funds will be available for distribution to unsecured creditors.

How can I access my vouchers?

If you have contacted the merchant and they are willing to honour your voucher, we suggest asking whether they will accept your original confirmation email from GrabOne as proof of purchase.

Afterpay

As liquidators, we do not have access to or authority over third-party payment platforms such as Afterpay. To cancel or reverse any scheduled payments, we recommend contacting Afterpay directly.

You may provide the circular to creditors available below as evidence of Global Marketplace New Zealand Limited’s liquidation.
